Product Introduction

The generating set with tubular turbine is in general used in the hydropower station with water head below 25m.

The generator of bulb-type hydro generating set is mounted in a structure tightly sealed in a bulb-shaped metal shell installed on the upper end of the hydraulic turbine. The principal axis of the generator is linked horizontally with that of the turning wheel of the water turbine. The water flows basically in the axial direction through the flow passage, symmetrically in circumferential direction through turbine blades and then out of the straight conical draft tube in axial direction. The supporting structure, pilot bearing and thrust bearing of the shafting in the generating set are fixed up in the bulb-shaped structure. The smooth and straight stream flow through the flow passage in the turbine brings a high hydraulic efficiency resulting in high unit capacity and rotating speed. The relatively small size of the set will lead to lower civil engineering cost.
